Harish Pattnaik CEO , Golden Gujarat Growth Fund

Dr Harish Pattnaik has joined GVFL in 2009 as an Executive Director. Subsequently he has been appointed the CEO of Golden Gujarat Growth Fund by the Board of GVFL. In GVFL he is closely involved in operationalizing the Golden Gujarat Growth Fund sponsored by Government of Gujarat.

Dr Pattnaik is M.Sc in Chemistry and PhD in Nuclear Chemistry.

Dr Patnaik brings on board 35 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Project Appraisal, Financial Structuring, Project Monitoring, Corporate Debt and Equity Syndication. He had joined State Bank of India in 1974 and got exposure in handling of Overseas and Domestic projects. In early nineties he represented SBI in the working group of RBI & EXIM Bank and was involved in project exports of top Indian corporate like BHEL, L&T, HCC, IRCON, TCIL in countries like Malaysia, Cyprus, Middle East, Sri Lanka and Africa. He had a four years overseas stint as an area representative of SBI in Cairo covering India related business to countries like Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Syria and Ethopia. In SBI he had held several important positions, which enabled him to handle projects of all top corporate in the country covering wide range of industries like steel, cement, power, telecom, hospitality As the CGM of SBI he was responsible for smooth merger of State Bank of Saurastra with SBI in 2008.

He is an independent Director in an IPP in Orissa, in an iron and steel plant in Maharashtra and in a tile and ceramic manufacturing unit in Gujarat.

Devendra Khandegar Associate Vice President

Devendra has recently joined GVFL, and shall be responsible for supporting team’s investments from the Golden Gujarat Fund, by identifying and analyzing opportunities primarily in the Infrastructure Sector. He has more than four years of work experience.

Devendra received his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow.

Prior to joining GVFL, he was part of Infrastructure Business Group of Axis Bank, where he was involved in funding across Infrastructure and Engineering sector companies especially Power Sector with a focus on Renewable Energy Sources (Wind, Solar and Biomass etc.). He has been instrumental for Bank’s first investments in Solar Power Sector and has been directly involved in screening and investing in many Solar Projects under National Solar Mission and Gujarat Government’s scheme. He has also acquired hands on operational experience in Power Sector while working with India’s largest power generation company, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). At NTPC, he was involved in the operation of 2600 MW Super Thermal Power Plant and Power Trading.

He has been a Visiting Scholar at IMEC, Belgium, which is one of the most prestigious research labs for Nano-electronics in Europe. At IMEC, he was involved in the reliability testing of MEMS devices to be used for space applications.

Bharat Rathi Associate Vice President

Bharat has recently joined GVFL and is actively involved in investments and Fund raising of Golden Gujarat Growth Fund. He has 9 years of experience in Equity Research, Business Consultancy, Corporate Finance, Accounts & Compliances and Project Management.

Mr Rathi is an MBA from IIM, Indore, a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary. He is also a CFA charter holder from CFA Institute, USA.

Prior to joining GVFL, Bharat has worked in institutional equity research for companies like Macquarie Capital and JP Morgan. In Macquarie Capital he was involved in sectors like Real estate, consumer and Retail. He was a part of EMEA Insurance Team for equity research in JP Morgan. Bharat has hands on experience on valuations, financial modeling, equity analysis, deal sourcing and client interaction in India and overseas, during his tenure in the above mentioned companies.He has also worked for projects in India &abroad while working for Accenture.

Krishnadas Mani Senior Associate

Krishnadas has recently joined GVFL and shall be responsible for supporting team’s investments from Golden Gujarat Fund by identifying and analyzing proposals primarily from the infrastructure sector.

Mr. Mani has received B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication from MES College, Calicut University, Kerala and MBA finance from Amrita School of Business.

Krishnadas has more than 3 years experience in conceptualization, development & financial structuring of Infrastructure projects. Prior to GVFL he has worked with IL&FS Infrastructure, where he has developed bankable infrastructure projects especially on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis. The Projects include Healthcare, Tourism, Entertainment, Urban Infrastructure. He has done financial analysis for these projects and prepared implementation framework through suitable project structuring.

Sai Krishna Senior Associate

Sai has recently joined the Golden Gujarat Growth Fund of GVFL He supports the team's investments by identifying and analyzing opportunities for the Fund.

Sai has received B.Tech from JNTU, Hyderabad and MBA from FMS, Delhi.

He has five years of experience in Private Equity, M&A and Public Private Partnership projects. He has worked with ICICI Bank as a part of the Investment Banking team and has hands on experience in infrastructure and allied sectors. Sai has also worked with NCC Infra Ltd.

Prashant Mehta Company Secretary

Prashant has been associated with GVFL since November 2008. He handles legal compliances at GVFL. In addition, he provides support to the Project Team on legal compliances of investee companies. Prashant is  also actively involved in Fund raising activities of Golden  Gujarat Growth Fund.

Prior to joining GVFL, Prashant has worked for more than ten years in Secretarial & Corporate Legal matters and also Insurance related matters for different organizations. It includes Multinational engaged in Healthcare, Law firm, practicing at High court of Gujarat and Debt Recovery Tribunal, Ahmadabad.

Prashant is an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, New Delhi. He is a Science and Law graduate (LL.B. Special) from M.S. University, Vadodara. In addition he also has a Diploma in Taxation Laws from M.S. University, Vadodara.
